Peninsula Film Festival

The Annual Peninsula Film Festival is a free film festival with the largest viewing audience in Victoria. 

 

It was held 2-4 February, 2024, on on the Village Green in Rosebud. The 'main event' was  on Saturday 3 February. 

 

Rotary Rosebud Rye is proud to have been a key sponsor of this event since inception, and in 2024 will once again be a Platinum sponsor of this great local event which is attended by thousands of visitors and locals.  As a sponsor, the Club presents one of the awards each year, and Rotary is promoted through various activities on site and in an advertisement on the big screen. 

 

The Festival features local actors, directors and producers who have made local short films (under 15 minutes), showcasing the terrific talent and skills in our region.

 

The Club's sponsorship includes the Award for the Best Documentary Film, which this year was won by Director Erin Besiroglu with his short poignant film Myrteza Blue

The Peninsula Film Festival was introduced by Paul Mercurio, acting on behalf of the Victorian Minister for the Arts, as the biggest outdoor film festival in Victoria and applauded for its encouragement to emerging film makers.
